An orientation program was successfully conducted at Rupandehi Campus to mark the 16-Day Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence. The event was jointly organized by Rupandehi Campus, District Police Office Bhairahawa, and Shubhavasar Gram Nepal. The program was coordinated by Assistant Campus Chief Mr. Arvind Pathak.
Key attendees included Mr. Arvind Pathak, Assistant Campus Chief and Coordinator of the program, and Mr. Parthivendra Upadhyaya, Campus Chief of Rupandehi Campus. Inspector Amrita K.C. from the District Police Office, Rupandehi, actively participated, emphasizing the role of law enforcement in combating gender-based violence.
Representatives from Shubhavasar Gram Nepal, including Ms. Bishnu Silwal, a counselor, and Mr. Nizamuddin Pathan, a social worker, also attended. They highlighted the importance of community engagement and awareness in addressing this pressing issue.
Assistant Professors from Rupandehi Campus, Ms. Manju Khanal, Ms. Bimala Dhungana, and Ms. Sharda Gautam, shared their perspectives on how educational institutions can play a pivotal role in promoting gender equality and preventing violence.
The program served as a platform for meaningful discussions and collaborative efforts to raise awareness and strengthen the fight against gender-based violence.
More than 100 students who attended the program expressed their commitment to fostering a safer and more inclusive environment.
