Basketball Match for Sports Week

10th Falgun, 2079

Rupandehi Campus recently held a basketball match among students of BBS and BEd as part of their sports week event. The match was held on the 10th of Falgun in the morning, with four teams participating. The winning team consisted of Manan Nishad, Ranjan Gupta, Bishal Hamal Thakuri, Rohit Khadka, Sunil Sunar, Pintu Sahani, and Akash Deep Nau.

The second team comprised of Ram Bahadur Chai, Bibek Singh, Dhananjay Dhawal, Akram Ali, Nagendra Chaudhary, and Babulal Kewat. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Laxman Gyawali, and coordinated by Assistant Professor Yuvraj Pokharel.

When asked about the match, winning team member Manan Nishad shared, “We trained hard for this match, and it feels great to see our hard work pay off. It was a team effort, and everyone gave their best.” Second team member Bibek Singh expressed his disappointment at the loss, stating, “We could have done better, but the other team played really well. It was a tough match.”

Chief Guest Laxman Gyawali commended the students for their dedication towards sports and encouraged them to continue participating in such events. “Sports not only help in physical fitness but also build teamwork, discipline, and leadership qualities,” he said.

Assistant Professor Yuvraj Pokharel, who coordinated the event, shared, “It’s great to see students participating in sports with such enthusiasm. We hope to organize more such events in the future.”

Overall, the basketball match was a success, with students showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. The event was a perfect build-up to the annual function that will happen on the 20th of Falgun, 2079
