Financial Literacy Program by Lumbini Saving and Credit Cooperative

Lumbini Savings and Credit Cooperative, Bhairahawa organized a financial literacy program for the students of Rupandehi Campus, with the aim of educating them about financial management and budgeting.
The program was held on Friday morning at the campus, and was attended by more than 70 students from various departments. The chief guest for the event was the campus chief, Laxman Gyawali, while the trainer for the program was Ram Prasad Baral, the manager of Lumbini Savings and Credit Cooperative.
Other guests at the event included Sarita Rana, Sita Dhungana Kafle, Manju Khanal, and Dr. Namrata Chaudhary.
The program started at 7.30 am and lasted for around an hour and a half. During the session, the students were taught about various financial concepts, including budgeting, savings, investments, and debt management.
They were also given practical tips on how to manage their finances effectively and make informed financial decisions.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gyawali praised the efforts of Lumbini Savings and Credit Cooperative in organizing such a program and stressed the importance of financial literacy for the students. He encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunity and apply the knowledge they had gained in their day-to-day lives.
Mr. Baral, the trainer for the program, expressed his satisfaction at the response from the students and said that he hoped the program had helped them develop a better understanding of financial management.
