Awareness Program on Menstrual Hygiene

On December 23rd, 2022, the Lions Club of Bhairahawa Green City and the Rupandehi Campus Health Desk jointly organized an “Awareness Program on Menstrual Hygiene” for BBS and BEd students.
The program was facilitated by Dr. Namrata Chaudhary, and Lion Shree Bahadur Rayamajhi served as the chairperson. The chief guest was the campus chief, Laxman Gyawali.
A total of 100 female students, along with teachers from the campus and members of the Lions Club of Bhairahawa Green City, participated in the program. Free sanitary pads were distributed to all participants. The program was coordinated by Assistant Professor Madhu Sharma.
In his speech, Chairman Lion Shree Bahadur Rayamajhi said, “We are proud to be able to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene among young women in our community. It is important that young girls are educated about the importance of menstrual hygiene and have access to the necessary resources.”
Facilitator Dr. Namrata Chaudhary said, “It is an honor to be a part of this program, which will make a real difference in the lives of young women in our community. Menstrual hygiene is a fundamental aspect of women’s health and it is important to educate and empower young women to take care of their bodies.”
Chief Guest Laxman Gyawali said, “This program is an important step towards creating a more equal and fair society. It is essential that young women have access to the information and resources they need to take care of their menstrual hygiene. I am honored to be a part of this initiative.”
Program Coordinator Assistant Professor Madhu Sharma said, “I am grateful to have been a part of this program. It is important that young women have access to the resources they need to take care of their menstrual hygiene, and I am happy that we were able to make a difference in the lives of these young women.”
